For years I have portrayed Custer in his Civil War exploits to educate everyone on his 'forgotten' years. In 2007, I was fortunate to have been offered the opportunity to portray Custer at the Custer's Last Stand Reenactment in Hardin, Montana. It was an extremely rewarding experience for me which I have been fortunate to have repeated now for 5 years.
When I first donned the uniform of a cavalry General, I had no idea of how far that horse would take me. I can't thank enough all the great people who helped me get here, and to those who continue to support me. A general is only as good as his troops.
Portraying Custer in all his years has given me experiences that I never imagined, and I have learned so much. It is the learning and remembering history that continues to drive myself and my fellow reenactors to keep bringing history to life.
